The Snake Oil Provisions team takes a common-sense approach to helping our customers. We aim to provide quick, personalized responses to questions & concerns. We do everything possible to minimize mistakes, but if we mess up, please let us know so we can make it right!
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Purchases: Please allow up to 3 business days for processing your purchase(s). We currently accept payment via Credit Card, PayPal and Affirm only. If you pay via e-check using PayPal, please be aware that your purchase will take longer to process, and your purchase(s) will not ship until funds clear in full.
We offer Affirm as one of several payment options at online checkout. Affirm offers customizable, transparent, and secure payment terms that fit your budget and preferences. Please read more about Affirm here: https://www.affirm.com/faqs/
Tax: Sales tax will be charged to all purchases shipped within California at the local sales tax rate.
Privacy: Snake Oil Provisions values customer privacy. We will never share any of our customers' names or personal information.
Conditions: Pricing is as listed. If an item is priced incorrectly, the transaction may be canceled. We cannot guarantee item availability. If an item purchased is no longer available, the transaction will be canceled/ refunded and the customer will be notified. All sales are subject to our shop policies listed above.
Military Discounts: We proudly offer special military discounts to our service men & women with proof of valid military ID. Exclusions apply and discounts are non transferable. Please message firstname.lastname@example.org for details.
Sale/ Clearance/ Final Sale Items: Sale, clearance, and/ or final sale items are considered final sale and are not eligible for return, exchange, or refund unless otherwise specified.
Special Orders: Special and/or custom orders may be possible with some brands & styles. Deposits of 1/2 of total purchase price are required at time of special order, and the remaining 1/2 balance is due prior to shipment. Special and/ or custom orders are not eligible for return or exchange. Inquire at email@example.com.
Shipping Within the United States: Domestic purchases ship via USPS Priority Mail, UPS, or FedEx and include tracking & insurance. Additional insurance coverage is available for an additional fee. Customers receive tracking notification once their shipping labels are generated.
Shipping Outside the United States: International purchases ship via USPS First Class Mail, USPS Priority Mail or our freight forwarding company when purchases are made using WebInterpret, our international shipping e-commerce partner. Please note that USPS Priority Mail includes tracking and insurance up to $99. Higher insurance coverage is available for an additional fee. We will email tracking information within 24 hours of shipment. Purchases made using WebInterpret that ship via freight forwarder also include tracking and insurance coverage. Tracking via WebInterpret is emailed separately to customers by the freight forwarder.
Notice to International Customers: We cannot guarantee delivery dates, since delivery time varies drastically by destination. We are not responsible for customs fees or delivery delays caused by customs holds. Due to a high rate of fraudulent purchases, we DO NOT fulfill orders to Malaysia. If you live in Malaysia or your credit card was issued in Malaysia and purchase from our online shop, your order will be canceled and card refunded immediately.
ORDER CANCELATIONS, RETURNS & EXCHANGES
Order cancelations and/ or changes to your order are only possible if your purchase has not shipped. If you need to cancel and/ or make changes to any purchase, please email firstname.lastname@example.org ASAP to determine if we are able to do so.
Generally, returned online purchases are eligible only for store credit or exchange rather than a refund. To find out if a purchase is eligible for return/ exchange, please contact customer care at email@example.com within five (5) business days of delivery. Final Sale items are not eligible for store credit, refund or exchange.
Returns & Exchanges must meet the following criteria:
-Item must be in new, unworn, unwashed, un-altered (pre-shipped) condition
-Original tags must be attached
-Shoes must be in original box with original packaging and tags attached
-Receipt must be included with return
-Return shipping cost is buyer's responsibility
-Requests must be made within five (5) business days of delivery date
-Customer is responsible for return shipments, which must include delivery confirmation or tracking
Please note that we are NOT able to accept returns on worn, altered, or otherwise “used” items. We are not responsible for return shipping costs or for compensation of items lost or damaged in return shipping. All return/ exchange requests must be pre-approved. Requests made after five (5) business days of delivery will be denied. All approved returns/ exchanges must be shipped back within 3 business days.
Returns/ exchanges that do not arrive in "new" or "unworn" condition may be subject to a re-stocking fee determined by us depending on the condition of item. Examples of situations that may warrant a re-stocking fee are items that require steaming due to excessive wrinkling caused by careless re-packaging, signs of wear (beyond normal wear from trying on) or have abnormal amounts of lint or hair on them. Items will be disqualified from return/ exchange if they are scented with perfumes/ cologne/ smoke, have visible stains or wear, have been laundered/ dry cleaned, etc. If an item is deemed ineligible for return/ exchange, the customer will be billed for return shipping.
Exchanges may be available while supplies last. Please contact us before returning any item to determine if we can process an exchange. Exchanges must meet the same criteria as returns, listed above.
Store credit is issued for original purchase amount (excluding shipping) on a Snake Oil Provisions gift card and does not expire.

We do not currently offer in store-hemming on denim and/ or trousers; however we are able to offer professional hemming from our neighborhood tailor for an additional $10. Hems are single-needle stitched (not chain stitched). To request hemming, please indicate your desired inseam length and include your PayPal email address for hem invoicing in the "notes" section at checkout. Note that altered garments are not eligible for return or exchange.
