Founded in 2017, Double Helix is a premium leather jacket brand headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Specializing in heritage inspired leather jackets reinterpreted through a modern lens, Double Helix uses some of the world's finest horsehide to manufacture a diverse range of outerwear from trucker and asymmetrical motorcycle jackets to quilted vests and western over shirts. At Snake Oil Provisions, we're proud to be one of the brand's very few North American retail partners.

Double Helix sources only the finest 1.3 – 1.5mm hides from Poland and uses a proprietary improved traditional Japanese vegetable tanning process and environmentally-friendly solvents from the German company, Bayer to surpass the world's highest standard PFI benchmark testing. Because these solvents fully evaporate leaving no chemical residue in the leather, the result is beautiful horsehide leathers that retain their natural characteristics and smell. Unboxing a Double Helix jacket is truly a delight.
